Rules for Remote Competition

The rules for a remote competition will be as follows to allow a level playing field for all taking part:

• A Steward will make live video contact with each competitor at their allocated time using Skype or FaceTime.
• At this time we also ask that each competitor take a VIDEO recording of their performance on their smartphone/recording device at the same time as their live video call. Instructions for uploading your video are below.
• Competitors will be asked by the Steward to turn on their recording device and will announce the event and competitor name so every recording will start with this introduction.
• The competitor will then name his tune and begin playing.
• Competitors will then stop recording when finished.
• Be sure to save your video to a place on your device you can remember.
• Once finished, upload the video to your YouTube account and email the link to the Chief Steward, Ted Hales, who will compile the files by grade and upload for the judges.
